It would be nice to be able to set an expiration date on ad campaigns. This way, if an advertiser pays for 3 months of advertising, the ads are automatically pulled at the end of the three months. Without this, site admins will have to manually pull the ads, which could lead to free advertising if forgotten about. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=858037&aid=1657536&group_id=81360 |

I just got to work where the dev website is hosted, so I have not made the changes just yet. George, I got the Staffman (and Jobman) Module from Sourceforge and it took a little digging to find it. I'm not sure what version I'm using; it could be version 1.7 or 1.30 (taken from the Readme.txt file). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: George Brackett (gbrackett) Date: 2007-01-29 12:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=398373 Originator: NO Actually, the"current" version of staffman on my drive uses the correct formulation (version 1.5.2, which is the one posted to sourceforge). if (version_compare($GLOBALS["core"]->version, "0.9.3-1") < 0) { $content .= "This module requires a phpWebSite core version of 0.9.2-1 or greater.<br />"; $content .= "<br />You are currently using phpWebSite core version " . $GLOBALS["core"]->version . It eliminates the protection, but in your case you don't need it. If you don't know how to 'comment out,' just put // in front of every line, like this: //if($GLOBALS["core"]->version < "0.9.2-1") { // $content .= "This module requires a phpWebSite core version of 0.9.2-1 //or greater.<br />"; // $content .= "<br />You are currently using phpWebSite core version " . //$GLOBALS["core"]->version . The initial intent of the module was/is for blind elections. If I were to include results in this view, it would have to be for admins only, or configurable in the settings as to who could see it. I definately wouldn't want it public by default. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll toss it around for a while. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=903544&aid=1610926&group_id=81360 |

Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Susan (lilytree) Assigned to: Verdon Vaillancourt (verdonv) Summary: Dates/year problem with Elections Initial Comment: I can only make closed elections. When I attempt to put the date in, the drop down box only offers the choices of 1969-1979. The pop-up calendar does not function. I do not currently have the calendar mod installed because of its incompatibility with php5. Ideas? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Verdon Vaillancourt (verdonv) Date: 2006-12-28 08:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=559731 Originator: NO I have fixed this in CVS and will be doing new release later today or tomorrow, when I get a couple other things done. Although this isn't really the forum to discuss these things, here are a couple quick answers to your other questions. > Is there a way I can find any of that info out ... Create a file on your webserver called info.php and in that just put the lines <?php phpinfo(); ?> That will give you lot's of info about your server > how do you see who won, Go to the module's utilities and Export or list > and who voted for who? You can't, it's secret ballot ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Susan (lilytree) Date: 2006-12-22 09:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1673672 Originator: YES Other question I have, I can make it a new thread if you want, how do you see who won, and who voted for who? Is there a way to see who voted for who while the vote is going on? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Susan (lilytree) Date: 2006-12-21 19:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1673672 Originator: YES I know I'm running php5, just because of the issues I'm having with the calendar. Unfortunately, I don't have most of the other specs, because I'm doing an organizational webpage, and honestly, the hostmaster is an ass who won't give me much of it (yeah, it's great working with him. /sarcasm) Is there a way I can find any of that info out for you, without having to go through him? *L* Thanks for the temp workaround though :D ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Verdon Vaillancourt (verdonv) Date: 2006-12-21 08:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=559731 Originator: NO Hi lilytree, Thanks for the report. Could you give me a little server info, i.e. Operating System, Webserver/PHP/MySQL versions? I have been able to reproduce this bug on my MacOSX box, but not on my linux (CentOS) server. There are also differences in the php version on those systems and the apache build. Your info might help me track it down. A work-around for now is to create the election with the 1979 date. After it is saved, edit it and you will find you can advance the date by 10 years. Do this a couple times and you'll get where you want to be :) This module doesn't require the calendar mod, so that's not a problem. A feature where the votes are shown directly on the list ie. /index.php?module=elections&Man_OP=view_election&election_id=# would be very useful. Viewers will be able to see the votes directly without clicking on each candidate, and have an overview of how this particular election is running... Somewhere below the name or the description would be nice.
