Not really - apart from the normal problems - have you checked that
you're using the correct username, password and hostname?
Also, have you created the necessary table in the database?
You could make a simple test-page to see if you can connect to the
server, just something like this:
mysql_connect('host', 'username', 'password');
mysql_query('SELECT 1+2');
