I've just updated the documentation with a description of the format.

What do you think about LaTeX? I personally like it because I think
the result is superior to what you can make using Docbook or something
like that.

The files could be converted into HTML using LaTeX2HTML - and with a
little luck, then we'll be able to adjust the resulting files so that
we can included them on our webpage.
