Arch linux, vbox 4.3.6 and latest phpvirtualbox.
I only get a blank webpage when I point my browser at the ip address.

I had almost the same. I got the "Loading" box forever after logging in.
Clearing the browser cache completely resolved it for me.
I suspect there was stale content left in there from the previous version of phpVirtualBox.

There were no previous phpvirtualbox versions. I have never used it before.
