phpvirtualbox php config error

Hi, i am trying to install phpvirtualbox on a clean Debian with nginx, php 7.3 and virtualbox 6.1

php works fine, but when i try to open phpvirtualbox i am getting this anoying, not helpful error that something with my config.php is wrong.

when i open the config.php in my web browser i get a blank screen.

any advice would be highly appreciated.

Hi, I am getting the same error. Everyting used to work, then I must have chenged something (version of PHP? Apache2? Ubuntu upgrade? or some other dependancy) and I now get this error.

I have looked at the above guide for Nginx and everything was fine (except the end bits because I am Apache2).

I did some debugging of index.html and the the failure is caused by:

typeof __vboxLangData == "undefined"

And that is where my skills failed unfortunately.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Some versions for you:
* I have tried version 5.2-1 of the tool and get the same issue
* phpinfo() reports "PHP Version 7.2.24-0ubuntu0.19.04.2"
* I an running on Ubuntu 19.10
