#44 Console feature no longer works

I had the same problem yesterday after the upgrade to 5.01
The following command followed by a restart solved it:
sudo VBoxManage setproperty websrvauthlibrary null

Thanks so MUCH! Stefan Wurm...this solved my issue...I'm still having a really difficult time updating the ext pack in headless Ubuntu Server...but that for another forum ;) have a great day!

Upgrading extpack in Ubuntu (don't forget the --replace option):

wget http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.0.0/Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-5.0.0-101573.vbox-extpack
sudo VBoxManage extpack install --replace Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-5.0.0-101573.vbox-extpack
