The relog message means you need to disconnect and reconnect from phpPgAdmin.
It force re-reading the configurtion file after you fix it.

What are your phpPgAdmin and PostgreSQL versions ? I wonder if it is related

In short, phpPgAdmin 4.2 is not fully compatible with PostgreSQL 8.4.
