If you are succeeding in completing step 1, clicking next and not being able to continue, download adodb version 4.52 from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=42718 and overwrite the files in /openchat/include/adodb/

Go back to your install and it will now work :)

(Dont ask me why, Im not a techie)

  people still seam to have problems. It worked for me after I used the newest version (4.61).
