[Phpmylibrary-users] Congratulations and greetings from Germany

I am deeply interested in opensource software projects, and so I was surpr=
ised to see phpMylibrary on the internet. Congratulations!!
PHP, MySQL and Apache: these are the tools we use in the very next future.=

May I intruduce myself:
My name is Werner Mueller, I am 43 years old and since 1978 I am librarian=
. Since 1986 I work at the
library of the Berlin School of Economics, University of Applied Sinces in=
 Germany. People can study
here all about economics, the graduate is an "under-graduate", very common=
 in Germany and some
other European countries. Our library stock is about 55.000 books and 250 =
periodicals. Lendings are
about 47.000 per year for our students only. Staff: we have 6 persons resp=
onsible for acquisition,
cataloging and lending and 6 students for lending/circulation.
Our library software is Horizon 5.0.2, our company is Dynix Germany, a bra=
nch of Dynix, USA. We
bought the modules cataloging, circulation, acquisition and periodicals.
All in all, I still love my job, especially since computing has taken prog=
ress in our library. I think,
projects like this is the very future, because libraries here got less mon=
ey year after year. If my
knowledge is wanted, I really would like to join in. Iam a beginner in sql=
- and php-programming,
but I'll do my best to learn from projects like this.=20
By the way: next year there is the annual meeting of the IFLA here in Berl=
in, Germany. If somebody
has plans for this meeting, please let me know.
