#11 phpmyadmin install

I have installed on Apache with mysql and I have verified database connectivity, when I go to the site the first time it gives me
"Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /pmi281/login.php could not be found on this server.

Apache/1.3.34 Server at www.medcenter.org Port 80

The way I access it is www.medcenter.org/pmi281 . It immediately gives the above error and then redirects to this. If I manually go to /admin.php it brings the login screen, but when I type in the user/pass it says "no database selected. PLEASE ADVISE
