The new version is coming with utf-8 support, for pages as well as user names and room names.
Several bug fixes but lots of improvements and addtional features, which will offer more powers/tools to chat administrators.

Some more security issues have been fixed in this version thanks to Alexei Shalin.
It also fixes some annoying bugs (see the 'docs/changes.txt file').
Nothing has been changed in the localization files, so if you've begin some work on translations you may finish it with your current files ;)

Well, two new members join the developper teams and we're really happy to welcome them :
"Tinou" (Etienne Gagnon) will mainly work on
sql optimization and database design.
"Sigo" (Sergei I. Golod) is our personnal
security analyst since two or three weeks ;)

Here it is : the new major revision of phpMyChat is near ready.... for its first alpha stage. It means we have to add one or two things but the major part of the work is done. We would need some debugging help soon ;)
I've released tonight a beta of a new minor version for two main reasons:
1. an important security fix is merged into;
2. one of the improvements (the gender icon in the users list of the 'users' frame) need to be tested with PostgreSQL and maybe debugged so we can use it in the 0.15 revision.... read more
