In fact, *all* checkboxes are aligned this way (see "Left
    Frame" or "Tabs").

    Now the discussion:

This doesn't bother me, though, for some reason it feels
more natural to have the checkbox in front than behind.

On my 800x600 display, all of the text input boxes
(for "Server hostname" for instance) wrap around under the
header, so the only thing hanging out on the right-hand
    column are dropdowns.

I'm not sure what the proper UI designer viewpoint on this
would be, but I personally favor the left-hand side
    checkboxes.

Why checkbox should be after text? It is common to see
checkbox before text in applications and thus I implemented
    it same way in setup.

Anyway there is no file attached so I don't see reason for
this to stay in patches... Maybe you forgot to check checkbox?

i just overlooked the checkbox, only browsing the right
column, and thought i could not be the only one.
i just was not aware of the "law" that checkboxes have to be
    on the left.

    disregard plz
