From what I can tell, the default configuration database uses double underscores. But the configuration file (that comes with fedora at least) indicates that the defaults all use a single underscore.

This makes debugging difficult. I am going to have to define all of the databases manually, only because I have to exclude it from my debugging process.

It makes no difference to me. But there whole concept of "default setting" is that there is one and only one possible value that something will automatically take.

    Please tell this to Fedora. In the software produced by the phpMyAdmin project, the current version 4.3.12 contains a double underscore after the pma prefix (for example pma__pdf_pages) both in examples/create_tables.sql and in config.sample.inc.php.
