No

I've installed phpMyAdmin on many systems, but I'm always running into problems with the linked tables infrastructure. I waste lots of time going round and round, reading the docs, tweaking configs, creating users, assigning permissions, but it seems to be entirely random whether the linked tables features work, even though everything seems to be as it should.

What would be really helpful is a diagnostics page where the linked tables features could be completely tested and faults diagnosed.

It needs to be moved to an easier to find location, but I just found this:
    * From any database view (not table), click the Operations tab. You'll see things like "Create new table on database foo", "Rename database to..."
    * Scroll all the way down, if the linked tables are configured but not working correctly you'll see the text "Error: The additional features for working with linked tables have been deactivated. To find out why click here" and clicking "here" shows you what works and doesn't work.

Yeah, it needs to be improved, but maybe this will help you for now.

The error is now shown on main page.
