Some icons are mixed because positioning of 'sprites.png' is faulty.
Upper left corner: the 'home' icon looks like a table and is the same as 'new table' icon.
The icon of 'documentation' is a small house (eg. on Web Server and Appearance Settings panels). I think it should be a question mark.
On the left side panel of dbs and tables, a small red [S] icon appears for hiding a table. I think the light bulb icons of sprites.png should be here.
When browsing a database a forward icon (stg. like >>) apperas to copy function. I don't know if it's faulty or not but somehow I can't connect the >> icon to the copy function.
Looking at the top menu and some tabs I think the positioning of sprites.png is bad everywhere.
Maybe the sprites.png is a new one and its icons are placed on new positions? In this case the positioning may be right and the sprites.png should be replaced with a good one.

Did you try clearing your browser's cache?
Not at the time of posting but now I cleared cache, reloaded phpMyAdmin and nothing changed.
Are you using version 4.4.0-beta1?
If so, did you install it in a separate directory as the installation instructions explain?
Which browser is this?
Can you reproduce on http://demo.phpmyadmin.net?
Please close this ticket because it seems to be a false error. I restarted my machine and everything is OK now.
I previously used a very old version of pma (2.x) from a services provider's server and later installed 4.4.0-beta1 on mine. Maybe something was left in the memory and mixed up everything.
My other ticket with the server error is still an error.
