Does it mean that executing an insert with ctrl + enter will insert the data twice ?

No, the query is run only once not twice.
Its just that the same query is appended at the end in the SQL box, just before results are displayed.
Hit Ctrl+Enter with any query in SQL tab to reproduce it.

Yes, I can confirm this too. The same happens in the query window.
The query is replicated at the position of the cursor when you hit Ctrl+enter. The first time it runs fine but if you hit Ctrl+Enter a second time the replicated query is executed.
