cfr. bugs #1762306, #1672099
bug will be introduced when introducing xml export 'schema structure' option (when patch #3135414 will be commited to 3.5-dev)
I am working on this..
Re - BUG #1762306 : Copy database with view of a view - this is already rectified and as copying database does not have anything to do with XML Export..I tested it and found absolutely perfect database copying
The mentioned bugs are examples, describing a similar problem with SQL export and copying a database. But the same problem also happens when importing an exported XML.
But this is not an easy problem to solve. With the SQL export it was possible to create a dummy table first for all views, and after all views (as tables) and real tables are exported, then the views are exported, and the dummy tables are dumped right before each creation, causing no errors because no referencing tables/views are missing.
With exporting XML we'll have to find a way to do a similar thing. Or maybe this logic should be implemented in the import module. I mean : the 'structure schema' is exported as a list of views and tables, but when importing it, first dummy tables are created for views, etc. similar to what's done with SQL, with that difference that the import module takes care of the order of importing, where with SQL, the order for importing is defined when exporting the SQL statements.
Maybe this seems a bit confusing, because the real problem doesn't happen when exporting, but when importing the same xml file again. So I've changed the title and category to import, to clarify this.
Re BUG:#1672099 : I have used the same approach of first creating tables for all the views/tables and then after creation of all tables...delete the corresponding table and create the view...
I have used <pma:drop > to specify drop table command and <pma:view > to create new after this..
Patch file added in Patch ID : #3135414
Again regarding copying of database bug id #1762306 does not apply here i think...
