Great idea for Version 3.00

Hi there.
I use this system and it it really great. I noticed
in the TODO file that Neale mentioned something about
have a database as a backend.
This would be a great idea. If this is going to be
done, how about also adding support for EXIF data. If
you don't know what this is, it is meta data embedded
into JPG and TIFF files by many newer digital cameras.
It basically contains more technical information,
however, it could be usefull.
Would'nt you like to filter out all your photos
where the digital zoom was used ?
Anyway, just a suggestion for an enhancement to an
already fine product.
Thanks

EXIF support has been in for a while - it is just commented out.
It will be used again in the next version - and using it to
filter things is a great idea.
I am not sure who "Neale" is, but in order to keep PHPix
more useable by all, the first backend will be text files to
hold any comments or descriptions of images. Database as a
backend will be the second option, since it offers much
better performance when people are doing large albums.

i think it's much better when you can choose between a txt
file and a database, bacause not all people (i) don't have a
database.
i think this is possible
