I am thinking of using this helpdesk for internal company
issue tracking, but I need to be able to sort/list by
individual company. What I need it for is to list issues
for customers of my company that can be seperated by
customer. So, I was thinking of using the department
field for customers. The issue is that I need my internal
users to be able to track issues for each customer and
list all customer issues seperate in some cases. If one
of my people need to view all issues from a customer, I
need them to be able to just view issues from that
customer, not all issues. Any ideas????
I do not know this program well enough to know if it is
capable of doing this.

PHPHelpdesk will not do some of the advanced features you
referred to yet.... like listing tickets by customers and viewing
all tickets created for a customer.
But you can edit the PHPHelpdesk to do this. If you know
PHP, it is very easy to edit the existing script and add
features. You could use the departments for the customer
names and then create a new script to view all tickets by
customer (department). I would edit the search script
already existing and adapt it to list all tickets by customers.
A future version of PHPHelpdesk will probably do what you are
asking for now, but I have no estimate of the time it would be
released. Do you have any PHP experience?
Thanx,
Ray

I have installed phphelpdesk and the istallation went fine.
When I enter the base URL, I get the page with four links
like
Login
Information Technology
Human Resources
Sales
But when I click on the link, nothing happens. Just the same
page is loaded again. When I hover my mouse over the Login ,
I see in the Status bar of IE login=goto as query string
parameter.
Thanks in Advance
