#168 Looking for help - Testing of a new version
Hi!
so if you want to test the new PHP Helpdesk,
please send me an email, so I can send you the login
details. The site is protected since it is at the
moment designed for an instituion which I will change
before the helpdesk code will be released.
If you habe an PGP/GPG key send it, so I can pass you
the details. if not I also could send it plain text.
(but prefere the save way)
It would just for you to see how things have changed
and to give somebody the oppertunity to make some
suggestions, before I prepare a release of the code.
(some kind of beta testing)

know (minor) problems will be solved before release are:
- At the moment it contains a provisonal java menu
since I didnt have a better idea for the meanwhile. it
can be flash but I am not sure if this is welcomed.
- right now the system is testet and runs with the
following browsers: (still the menu is not in place)
NS 6.0 & later IE6 and later. LINux and MS W.
the development was down under Linux (code) and Windows
(design)
It uses CSS positioning which only is supported by the
latest browsers, so with IE 5.0 eg. all appears messed
up. this would be to be done still. (ideas welcome)
As already said you need flash 6.0 installed to get the
whole impression. The flash part I still plan to replace.
- Right now the page need a good connection since it is
loaded with graphics etc. the idea was that usually the
Helpdesk comes to use in Intrantes an these are fast
anyway.
So if you like to get an bit active in the project,
make some suggestions about the application. Welcome!

The english version is now available, also I have fixed some
of the graphic stuff. The menu is now nearly final, only
that I still have to add the security setting. The menu is
now on forms based (not the very best solution) which is a
first step to eleminate the global variable concept where
still are meny in the code.

I have had a look at the english version and so far it looks
very nice. I will send you a seperate email with the
corrections to be made to the spelling translations :-)
Also I would like to see the rest of the menu options available
and some documentation, which I can help work on if you
would like. It would be nice to have a USER and Admin guide
for example.

I really would like to try the Newer release of the english
version "PHP HelpDesk" per this ticket. Where can I go to
download the software? I this this GUI is really much nicer
and user friendly. CAn you email me if it's fine for me to

I've downloaded and succesfuly installed the helpdesk using
Apache 2.x and Mysql on Redhat 9. But I can't log-in using
the "admin" as username and "admin" as password. Can you
give some solution to this.
