Wanted to test out this software. I set everything up as directed and can't login. I seem to loop back to the login screen when I attempt to login with the admin account. My HTTPD logs show an error trying to find a javascript directory. There does not seem to be a directory called javascript. I saw other entries in the archives that show the same problem that I am having. I did not know if someone has resolved this yet. If so can you forward me the fix. Thank you Robert Maij |

Hi, I am having an issue installing phpHelpDesk I downloaded the files(DEV version 1.0.2)=85. Place them on the htdocs fo= lder on my web server (linux .. appache). I created the mysql DB (with the sql provided in the pakage) =85 modified the config files as explained in the install file. When I go to the $g_base_url =85 the page loads. When I try to login =85 = nothing appends=85 it looks to me like a simple refresh=85 no error message. When= I press on the only active link (help wizzard) a popup opens. Again, when I press the next button, it looks like the page only refresh (I now longer = see the mysql error that was there before the db.cong.php was configure). I canot find any help on the site =85. Any idea? By the way, my server is on an intranet and has no mail server installed = =85 can this be the reason why I am not able to setup helpdesk? I don't have a lot of php/html/mysql know how I have installed and setup as you INSTALL stated I get the login page for php helpdesk When I click on Login Information Technology Human Resources Sales and even the Need Help? Click Here error Not Found The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server. I have found the same question but no answer. RedHat 9 PHP 4.x phphelpdesk 6.16 when i open http://mydomain/phphelpdesk/ and click login, nothing happens. I have tried the cookie fix to no avail. Has anyone fixed this problem that can share some information? thanks Donovan |

I have managed to make it to the portion of the install where it asks you to "create the tables for this database, and create a user "admin" with the password "admin" and I am really not sure what to do at this point. I installed the DB okay and put the files on my Windows NT machine. Next I edited the files that were recommended. Here they are for reference. I initially got 3 errors when I ran the login page: Notice: Undefined variable: partfound in C:\Z_Mine\Customers\UBComputer\www\phphelpdesk\languages\english.lang.php on line 256 Notice: Undefined variable: p_id in C:\Z_Mine\Customers\UBComputer\www\phphelpdesk\languages\english.lang.php on line 258 Notice: Undefined variable: whattodo in C:\Z_Mine\Customers\UBComputer\www\phphelpdesk\config\header.conf.php on line 8 When I click on the login link or any other link the page refreshs and I am back at the Login page without login fields. Hi All, Thanks for the software provided. But after installing the phphelpdesk. I get the welcome page but when i click on the login link i am not getting a login page. I think this problem is not faced by many as i have not got any posts. My version of phphelpdesk is : 0.6.16 and also i have tried 0.5.8. I=B4ve installed v 0.6.16 and I have a problem in the configuration. I ca= n login but when I click any of the links in the initial tickets page, th= e program takes me back to the login screen. The problem is with any of t= he=A0 links including the help link. The system is mounted in RH 7.3 with mysql 3.23.56 and PHP4, the url is s= omething like: http://my.helpeskserver.com/helpdesk/ And the database contains the example data included in the tar without an= y modifications.
