Hi,

it would be cool if users could register to phpgedview.
They could choose a username, edit their Full Name and
choose a password (and email?).

After registering the user should be handled as a not
logged in user. Then the webmaster should get an email
about the registratoin. After that the webmaster should
be able to edit this account online inside the usereditor
and give the account free or delete it.

The user should also be able to change his password
online after logging in with his username and password.

If the user forgets his password he should be able to
get a new created password from phpgedview, if he has
an email adres. For this there should be a new field
inside authenticate.php to type in the own emailadres
for each user. This emailadres should only be seen for
the logged in user so he can change it later and for the
admin inside the usereditor.

bye, Kurt

Good idea Kurt. I'll work on it.

I like the idea. One small tweak would be that when the
system sent out an email to the admin, it would have a link
that would go right to the screen to edit that user (how the
login process would work I am not sure)

I second this request, I like the idea myself. However rather
than get an admin email, one could simply check the
requests, however an email would also be nice.

This has been included as part of v2.60. Even though v2.60
is still in beta, I am going to close the request.
