In the last few weeks I've suddenly been getting dozens of new user registrations. They have random-looking usernames and names, but reasonable-looking email addresses.
e.g:
User name: duujfzvgei
First Name: uikgvlrvdg
Last Name: ekwnwyutno
Comments: yfuwirtmqqfwvnvkdnjnvvnrghqzfy
I've been deleting them, but I'm getting up to a dozen a day.
Anyone else seeing this?Any idea why they are doing this?

Yes, I have seen this on another site. It's a real pain!!
The way to stop this nonsense is to configure your site to disable self-registration, forcing prospective users to send an e-mail, using their e-mail client, to the Admin to request a login ID.
In the site configuration, page 4, set the option Allow visitors to request account registration to "No".
Make sure that you have your Admin contact and contact method set to the proper e-mail address. This is in the "Contact Information" section of the GEDCOM configuration.
