Report Bugs with Dual Hebrew and Gregorian Dates
There are a number of bugs that appear with reports
when generated with a GEDCOM configured to use dual
Hebrew and Gregorian dates. In some reports the Hebrew
text is reversed. The easy way to tell that it is
reversed is to look for dates that have Hebrew before
the Gregorian dates
<REVERSED HEBREW DATE> (8 August 1800)
. In those cases the Hebrew dates are rendered reversed
(left to right instead of right to left). All report
display a date with After or About incorrectly so that
is reads:
(8 August 1800) <HEBREW DATE> After.
(8 August 1800) <HEBREW DATE> About.
Dates with Between in them almost always render as:
(1845) <HEBREW DATE> 1846) and) <HEBREW DATE> between
Ahanen – reversed when no footnotes are present for a
record
Individual Report – Improper wrapping
Expanded Relatives Report – Many fields only show
Hebrew dates
Death Date & Place – Improper wrapping
Descendancy Report – Words overlapping, Hebrew Dates
Reversed for first person in each generation

Kevin,
I am assigning this to you since you are now the developer
for reports. Feel free to un-asign yourself.
Thanks

This is way outside anything I know. Could you send me a
GEDCOM snippet of some of your tree that causes the
problem. I don't have a drop of Jewish blood in me, so I
don't know a thing about Hebrew dates, or any of the left-
to-right vs. right-to-left issues that heve been coming
into the bug reports...however I'm willing to give it a
shot.

I just sent you email with additional information to your
sourceforge email address.
Thanks
Date handling and the report engine have both been rewritten since this bug was opened.
Is it still an issue?
Still an issue, but covered by https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=55456&atid=634867 so I am closing this one.
