No

Backup excutes from //usermigrate.php?proceed=backup then refreshes to /usermigrate.php, a blank screen. Bottom status bar (browser) indicates Done.
It should IMHO go back to the Admin menu.

Mac, that might be a browser issue. For me, this is the sequence I get:
    1 - Admin menu - Click Backup
2 - Check / uncheck boxes as required
    3 - Click "Make a backup"
4 - screen refreshes to Results page, "ZIP file successfully created. "
5 - At the bottonm, click "Return to the Admin menu" Click and it does exactly that.

    Are you seeing something different?
<<backup excutes from //usermigrate.php?proceed=backup then refreshes to /usermigrate.php, a blank screen.>> sounds like its not working at all. Was a backup zip file created in your /index folder?

Yes. this time I knew to look in the directory for them. Previously I executed 4 backups. I use FF Mac 2.x as I must have autocomplete (or whatever you want to call it).

So do you get the same sequence of events as I described? I don't see anything like the problem you described.

I repeated the steps, no different than yours in both Mac Firefox and Mac Safari. Except #4 doesn't happen.
Neither browser returned to the Admin menu nor indicated successful backup. This has been tried over 6 times, all with similar results since upgrading. I never used in 4.1.5.

I can test your problem on my PC system, to see if its a MAC issue if you are able to give me temporary access (would need full admin rights though).

    Mac
Have you checked the issues we discussed yet? RAM available to PGV and PHP script timeout?
I'll be happy too to test for you with other browsers, more updated java, etc - if you provide us access with admin rights, but I suspect the RAM issue - much is required for PGV v4.2. Really 64mb minimum and it much prefers 128mb+.
You have me direct email addy for access username/password.

Otherwise, as you can see from your TEST REQUESTED post, this is your problem pretty much alone and this is not a bug, per se, so this should be closed.

    Hi,
I had the same problem after a fresh 4.2 install... You can solve it with changing the default "PGV_MEMORY_LIMIT" value in the config.php (32M -> 256M in my case).
I think you should change the "memory_limit" value in the php.ini also.
    Hope it helps,
    Ferenc

Did you test the memory issue? Is that/was that the solution. This is most unique to your situation and we'd like to close this bug.

Tried 90m and no difference. Moved to new subdirectory, eliminating the one that didn't work.
