I add spouse with only a married surname
She is added as
1 NAME
2 _MARNM /Amity/
I see on the close relatives tab and on the family page in the name box the name as "2 _MARNM Amity (I9167)
This is also what I see in the indi list.
In the family-list I see an empty name.
I try again to add a new spouse with the following name.
1 NAME //
2 _MARNM
In the edit form I see in Name // and I see the Hebrew Married surname but nothing in Married Name.
When I save I see this new individual with name (unknown), I do not see her married name
I also see a narrow box to the left of the top gender and Edit | Delete
Raw editing shows her name only as
1 NAME
I approve this wife.
The narrow box vanishes.
The // in the name and the married name are still missing.
In name boxes I see 1 SEX F (I9169)
Do I still have to use Raw editing to create a name //?

This is *supposed* to remove the _MARNM. If a tag is empty and has no subtags, it is removed.

I do no longer see the married name on the individual page or in the lists.
Editing an empty 1 NAME that has level 2 data cannot delete the level 1 NAME record.

This will be the GUI editor - and I won't be looking at that for a while.
Perhaps the validation which we took out recently to insist that a name was enetered was there to "cover up" this bug?
I'm unassigning this one, as I don't know how to fix this last bit.
