hi mike,

in the context of this thread, you'd originally mentioned the possibility to remotely access
phpgacl data  for auth via soap services.

again, my goal is to control .htacess auth/perms for apache web-site dirs not under "full"
phpgacl control.

i still haven't figured out how to get .htaccess files to 'act' as soap *clients* (LOTS of info
on soap server, mod_soap, etc ...) to phpgacls' soap server (nusoap),

i *am* curious as to whether there's any DISadvantage to using a direct sql call from .htacess
to phpgacl database?  to do so, i could use, methinks, "AuthPg":

seems built for exactly what i'm hoping to do ...
