[phpesp-general] Private surveys not working --New to phpESP

I created a group "group1"
Created "Respondent accounts" and added to "group1"
Created a survey called survey1 and made it private(Owner-- root, group--group1)
Activated the survey

http://192.168.x.x/phpESP/public/survey.php?name=survey1

When i click on the survey link ,i get the login prompt , but when i
enter any of the respondent accounts to login i get the following
error
"[ Incorrect User ID or Password, or your account has been disabled/expired. ] "

I checked mysql database & i saw accounts did get created and i did
use the right account and password to login.

Am i missing anything here.IP Address displayed is masked here and
running on Fedora6.Also turned on debug option without any help.

Anyhelp is appreciated.Spent over 12hrs already without any resolution.

[phpesp-general] Multiple Text Box entries with one Header

In a survey I would like to post multiple Text Box entries with one Header
or the Text box displayed on the same line as the Header. All without
changing the styles of the rest of the survey.

Could someone advise if this is possible with phpESP?

I am trying to figure out how to make a survey private. In other words,
a survey you have to login to take. I see where you can manage
respondents, I just can't figure out what setting I need to set for the
survey that makes it private.

I've read the documentation and the FAQ, but I can't really find

I would like to authenticate respondants against active directory.
When I have the following in my phpESP.ini.php I can still login with
the accounts I made before, but not with anything from the ldap. =20
In the management pages I see nothing ldap related.

Has anyone made this work?

What do I need to do?

rating of 0...10, not 1...10.

[phpesp-general] move to another server

Hello all,
I have looked but have not been able to find a documentation on how to 
move phpesp to another server.
My current computer has error so I want to move it to another computer. 
What should I do?
is it enought if I just copy teh phpesp folder from htdocs and make an 
export of the sql database and then import it into the new sql and then 
just run phpesp as usual?

will my old data and surveys still be there?

glad that part already works.
If your questions are entered into the db and the survey shows up as
expected, it means that you have an sql error when the results are put
into the db.
Have you created the db from scratch? Or applied the
mysql_update-1.8.2h-1.8.2i.sql mysql patch?
Can you mail me the currect db structure you have? Then I'll compare
with mine. It *is* always possible that I forgot to update a table in my
released version, but I don't believe so ...

I'm putting it just above the 'use http or https? Question in the ini

Ok, you bumped into a php4 "bug". But since it is only a php notice, it
is in fact not an error at all.
So what you can do, is to disable the notices at runtime (which is more
secure anyway). For this, add the following line at the beginning of
admin/phpESP.ini.php:

error_reporting(E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE);

(see http://be.php.net/manual/en/function.error-reporting.php)

Let me know what this does for you. If it works ok, I'll add the line
for the next version.
