I don't have any canned code to donate, I would love to see some basic form validation and other options that would make the apps generated by PCG a little more secure out of the box.

I have bundled a client side field validation with the PCG Advanced code generated. The javascript files and docs for it is found under web/common/javascript of ur generated PCG app.
I'll definitely try to search for some server side validation and bundle it in the next release. I have seen a couple of good ones on phpclasses.org
