I was working fine on my tracker yesterday when the local ip I have on our private network was changed. I moved from 192.168.1.129 to 192.168.1.106 and am now unable to log into the administrative interface. After loading index.php it kicks me to bta_jslogin which reports that the refering_page session element was not set.

I imagine there is a hung session on the old IP that I need to release in order for me to log in again, how can I complete this? I've modified my httpd.conf and config.php files to reflect this change and am working with a coworker to get me a static ip on the local network.

In the mean time I have no idea how to fix this. I've looked at the mysql database, session files, restarted services, and no help

    UPDATE:

I was unable to solve the issue with this and figured it was just easier to start from a fresh install.

The issue appears to have originated from the fact that I was logged into the admin interface when the IP was changed causing it to lock the interface and prevent logins but I cannot confirm. I purged databases and sessions before retrying and even forced my IP back to its original with no luck.

I've turned off DHCP on the box now to prevent this issue in the future and have obtained a static IP within my network.

PHP Sessions make extensive use of cookies - maybe you had a cookie on your workstation that was causing it. That's about all I can think of.

We may never know. It is working great now and I've taken a snapshot of my HDD to prevent future loss.

I just gotta say though, I love your app. I've coded a page to allow any user to upload content to the tracker using segments from your bta_add.php and it is making things even better. Once I finalize much of the code I'll prob post to the Open Discussion forum.

Out of curiousity, what version of Apache and what versions of mysql and php are you using? I'm going to try to set up my PC this weekend and reproduce those session bugs.
