I'm ready to release 0.4.0, and I'd like to include the documentation that has been done so far with the release.  If you could, please read over it and check it for errors, typos, and lack of clarity.  If you think of other docs that need to be included in this first round of documentation, feel free to write it :) or let me know so I can write it.

You'll note that running the configure script is no longer part of the installation, so I do plan to remove it before the release.
