As the company hosting silverday.net has (finally) updated all servers to PHP4.1 I will be updating all Nexus-Scripts to be compatible. I will try to keep atleast compatibility to 4.0x, no promises though!

If I can I will do a new release on Friday.

Due to health reasons I have not been able to work as much on Nexus as I had planned! So the next release will be delayed one or two weeks.

After some work, I am proud to announce that there is now a forum where you can discus the Nexus Project (and other SilverDay Systems developments). you can find the forum at http://forum.silverday.net.

Nexus V0.7 has been released (or rather will be as soon as SF.net is available again). The main addition in this release is the groupmanagement. Provided you are a member of the necessary groups you can now create, edit, and delete groups. Also member management is included. Included are of course bugfixes and several new functions in quite a few of the scripts.

Next on my agenda is now the access-mangement for directories and pages, and the security-check when a page loads. The main functions of the API are already added and what is missing will be implemented as development continues. I would assume to put up the next release next weekend or so. With that release we will move from alpha-stage to beta-stage where except for a few smaller things no big additions will be made.

I just released V0.6 of Nexus. The release now includes a complete usermanagement system, including the necessary admin-scripts. At the same time the Nexus-Site got a new look!

Still missing is the group-management. I have started to implement it, but most functions are missing. Hopefully I will also find a time to write a decent homepage for Nexus, together with getting the main design of the site a bit more tweaked up!

Please note that that is also the URL for the live-version once the Nexus-Project reaches maturity. I will announce the URL for the development-Version shortly before doing the switch over.

Yesterday I completed the user search, list and display scripts. All that is left now in this area is the administrative password change for a user. I will do a new release this evening.

I have just uploaded the initial release Nexus. For easier download I have created three packages:

1. nexus_complete - this holds all files of the current NEXUS-Prototype site at http://nexus.silverday.net.

2. nexus_core - this holds the core files of nexus (ie. the classes and forms). I expect that this package will be the one to change more often than the others!

3. nexus_app_pages - this package just holds the 'wrapper'-pages of the site.... read more

I am currently in the process of setting up the NEXUS-Project here on SourceForge. Since I am still exploring the possibilities it may take me sometime to complete!
