Java uses a fine grained access control mechanism built into the VM, which is similar to Security
Enhanced Linux or the mechanism built into Vista. However, even with SEL and Java access control
enabled, one shouldn't run Java from the super user account.

Depending on the VM version, Java creates JIT code in /tmp or in some subdir of home directory.
Therefore this directory needs execute permission.
