Hello. I was looking for a simple slide show solution and PhotoFilmStrip looked promising. I quickly moved on, however, because I couldn't create and save a project because none of the buttons would display on my Lubuntu 18.04 system. I assume there was one or more missing or out of sync libraries. An extract from the console messages below give a flavour. I found similar problems with the Imagination alternative. I'm not necessarily looking for a solution from this forum but rather to highlight how experiences such as this led me to 'no install' Appimages where the binaries and dependencies are all self-contained. A simple chmod +x of the appimage is all that is required and the app just works. I suggest this would be a very good solution for PhotoFilmStrip since a single Appimage release would take care of all linux flavours because the dependencies would be integral to the package. Just a thought.
(python3:2387): dbind-WARNING **: 11:25:28.121: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.a11y.Bus was not provided by any .service files
I also had the problem that the buttons in the "create project" window were only 2px high - I could not read the text and only guessed that the right one is for "create project". (version 3.7.1-src)

Thanks for the hint. I will have a look at this.
