Hey Roy, The server that hosted photospace.org failed a couple weeks ago and unfortunately has not been a high enough priority recently for me to make time for it. Lame, I know. If what you need is docs, the best I can do for you immediately is point you to the source for those pages. http://photospace.cvs.sourceforge.net/photospace/photospace/web/doc/ Alon On 7/17/07, Reshef Roy <roy...@ya...> wrote: > > Hi there, > > I have downloaded the latest photospace war file from > sourceforge. > However, your page at > http://photospace.sourceforge.net/ has quite some > links to pages in the photospace.org domain, including > important ones such as the installation instructions, > integration instruction, demo application etc. > > This domain is not available (as of last Friday or > maybe even before). Hi there, I have downloaded the latest photospace war file from sourceforge. However, your page at http://photospace.sourceforge.net/ has quite some links to pages in the photospace.org domain, including important ones such as the installation instructions, integration instruction, demo application etc. This domain is not available (as of last Friday or maybe even before). Has it been moved to somewhere else? Thanks and best regards, / Roy Reshef ____________________________________________________________________________________ Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Okay, this was a bug in the packaged war and is now fixed in the 0.2.133 war on sourceforge. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=113626 Alon On 1/6/07, Christoffer Enqvist <chr...@it...> wrote: > Hi! > > After quickly installing photospace and pleased to see the beautiful > result, I somehow always get the message "You are not allowed to do > that" no matter what I try to do (upload, edit folder, edit selected > etc.). Hey Christoffer, I'm just back today after a couple weeks out of town. I'm not sure what's going with the authentication for you but will see if I can reproduce with that war myself. Hi! After quickly installing photospace and pleased to see the beautiful result, I somehow always get the message "You are not allowed to do that" no matter what I try to do (upload, edit folder, edit selected etc.). This even though I'm logged in as a user with admin and contributor privileges. How come? What did I do wrong? I'm using vanilla 0.2.132 war. Thanks in advance! -- Christoffer Enqvist <chr...@it...> |

Jason, If you removed the folder.rdf files while photospace was running, I believe it sees the deletion and updates the index. This is by design. No backups, eh? If somehow you have not run photospace since doing the deletion you may be able to recover the data if you willing to write some code. If you look at photospace.meta.Translator (http://photospace.cvs.sourceforge.net/photospace/photospace/src/photospace/meta/Translator.java?view=markup) you will see that this class can take a folder object and convert it to the RDF representation. If you get folders back from a search result, you can use the Translator to get the RDF back. I nuked all my folder.rdf files, in a fluke shell globbing accident. Is there a way to get photospace to refresh them from its cache? -- _jsn |

That's an interesting question. Photospace provides a webdav interface for users to upload folders and photos with a webdav client. It doesn't use a webdav client internally to crawl and index the photo repository. I've never tried to browse a subversion repository with a vanilla webdav client. Does is show up as folders? If so, it would be possible to implement a way for Photospace to use a webdav client to index the contents of your svn repository. So, no short road that I can think of. I'm not sure how long the road I propose is. Photospace has an abstraction for the file system that it indexes so all your work would be there. I'd like to know more about the WebDAV integration available from photospace. I have an existing Subversion repository of all my content, with each photo in a folder of its own. I'd like for Photospace to grab the 'created' and maybe the 'updated' attribute from the repo -- so that users could check for things that were added today. What's the short road to this? Is there a slightly longer road, that would allow me to contribute code to the community? -- _jsn |
