[Pgsqlformac-discuss] Keeping track of changes and tips

Hi

I am a Mac user and medical doctor and, although a non-programmer,  
have been helping as I can with the GNUmed project looking to provide  
useful medical practice patient record software built on postgres.

I began pulling together what I thought might be helpful information  
to any other Mac users in the GNUmed project and put it up on a wiki  
page over at

Now that I have just installed the newest version of PostgreSQLforMac:

1) I still cannot run psql (nor could I in the previous version) ...  
is it not bundled? Would there be a problem for people to separately  
locate and install it? I am only just thinking that many tutorials  
assume the user will be accessing postgres via psql and I am not sure  
that any of your client tools currently provide the equivalent of  
command line interfaces to fully replace psql and other client softwares

2) No longer do the Client Tools include your Service Manager. Was it  
removed on account of incompatibility with Leopard? Is there any  
alternate method and instruction to achieve what it used to do?

One of my main contributions at GNUmed is to help with documentation.  
As I (try to) get to learn Postgres better I would be keen to  
maintain some documentation which I can of course do at GNUmed. I do  
welcome you to consider whether you would wish me to post anything in  
the pgsqlformac wiki.
