The bar shift auto seems to be able to receive unit-free values, however, there is a difference between the two following cases: bar shift auto=0,bar width=1 and bar shift auto=0pt,bar width=1.

Can you clarify the situation ? I first asked a question on stackexchange but nothing came out so far.
