No

Hi there,

I just discovered that the number of wals reported by show-backup and list-target --wal are different.

barman@db21:~$ barman -v
1.2.0
barman@db21:~$ barman list-files --target wal sauspiel 20130312T030005|wc -l
2926
barman@db21:~$ barman show-backup sauspiel 20130312T030005|grep 'No of files'
    No of files : 2908

Which one wins? :)

I tested this with all backups we have (about 15). The numbers are never equal and differ between a few hundred and a few thousand

The show-backup command does not show in the 'WAL' section those segments that "belong" to the base backup (the ones archived from the start of the backup to the end).
In terms of list-files you should remove from the 'wal' target the WAL files that are listed in the 'standalone' target.
Please verify this and - if correct - close the ticket.

You're right, there is another 'WAL number' in the 'Base backup information' section and when I add this to 'No of files' then everything is ok. Sorry for the trouble and thanks!

Btw, I don't see a link or button how to close the ticket!?
