You should add server.address=0.0,0.0 to your projectforge.properties. Its default value is localhost, meaning, that ProjectForge isn't available for other computers due to security reasons. It's highly recommended to use Nginx, Apache etc. as an https-proxy for external access. See https://github.com/micromata/projectforge/blob/develop/doc/installation.adoc for further information
When I made the post i had a kind of freeze of the PC and press the "post" button three time. then three message appear, sorry for that. Hello, I'm back again with another problem. I've installed PF 7.0.0-rc1 with postgres db on a windows server and seems to work properly. by launching on chrome: localhost:8080 then, if I try to reach from other computer, or from the server itself using : 192.168.0.10:8080 (192.168.0.10 is the server address) i cannot access PF. obviously, I've already opened port 8080 on firewall, and also tried with firewall down, but cannot solve the problem.

Thank you very much Kai for the quick reply and the effort!Unfortunately...still the same result: after double click on the jar file, the system thinks a bit about it, but then nothing happens. I've also updated windows 10 at the last version. No idea...

Hi guys, I've just installed the last JAVA version (JavaSetup8u241) and downloaded ProjectForge 6.25.0. Once I double click on projectforge-application-6.25.0 the system thinks a bit about it but then nothing happens. I've checked the file association, and it's correct. In command line when I try "java -jar C:\Users\pinaf\Downloads\ProjectForge-application_6.25.0-RELEASE.jar" the reply is "Error: Unable to access jarfile C:\Users\pinaf\Downloads\ProjectForge-application_6.25.0-RELEASE.jar". I've tried to run 6.22 version running from command line. open a browser localhost:8080 compile form for first run as production env (http://localhost:8080/wa/setup?2) click on finish return the error Whitelabel Error Page This application has no explicit mapping for /error, so you are seeing this as a fallback. Mon Jan 07 21:43:20 UTC 2019 There was an unexpected error (type=Internal Server Error, status=500). No message available default configuration used no customization done in config file (application.properties)...
Dear Florian, Christian, I'm still stuck on version 5.4. I've tried the 6.2 that is starting and working but I'm not able to bring the database in use to the new version. I'm working with the JAR version on a windows machine, the 5.4 is starting through the jar GUI, while the 6.2 start through the command line. Would be very good for me to have a guide for dummy for the upgrade! Also would be intersting to know what to back up as the guide for backup seems to be only valid for UNIX platform thanks...

Hi Nadia, I've tried to reproduce your error message. Unfortentually I couldn't. Is there an Exception StackTrace in the log? How did you setup PF? With an empty database or with testdata? Or do you migrate from a previous PF version? Best regards, Florian
