perlBB (perl Bulletin Board) / News: Recent posts

I was evidently being a bit optimistic in my first news release, as work has progressed slower than expected. However, a working version of the software has now been on my home page ( http://www.mushy-pea.org.uk ) for about four weeks and seems to be fairly stable. There is one known bug regarding the topic list, that will soon be fixed. Also, only a bare bones set of abilities are implemented (threaded discussions and user registration). Therefore I now declare the project to be at alpha stage :) . I intend to release a beta stage end user package in the next four weeks.

Hello, my name is Steven Tinsley. I've been working on perlBB for the last seven weeks or so and I've almost got a working version. Version 0.5 (codename Guinea Pig) should be released in the next few days.
