question about LDIF

hello,

is it possible, to open a connection to a server in such a way, that he
reads normaly, but all changes are written to a LDIF-file ?

f.e. if i call ...

   $mesg =3D $ldap->modify( 'uid=3Du1234,o=3Dconnector',
                changes =3D> [
                  delete  =3D> [ telephonenumber =3D> []]
                ]
              );

... that this writtes to some "changes.ldif":

-----------------------------------------
dn: uid=3Du1234,o=3Dconnector
changetype: modify
delete: telephonenumber=20
-----------------------------------------

i've wrote some scripts to improve the data-quality of the directory
here and i would like to show the admin what they're going to do, before
i let them run against the production server.
