Hi Stephane, Well, Will and the distribution vendors would be the ones with the problem, as well as the TOSS folks at the labs among others. Hey, while you are at it, it would be really nice in the Makefile if you could not run ldconfig by default….that fails for nearly every user unless one is root. Having to set LDCONFIG=true on every command line just to avoid a build failure isn’t something most folks are used to when building third party libraries. I’m not sure what libtool (yuck) does, but even a ‘-‘ in front of the command along with a redirect of error to null might help with the false alarms.
