In Nemo > Edit > Preferences > Behaviour > Media Handling, the boxes are ticked for: - Automatically mount removable media when inserted and on start-up - Automatically open a folder for automounted media

however, automatic opening of a folder is not happening when I insert a usb flash drive.
Help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Solved! via: Menu > Settings > Removable drives and Media
ticked some boxes as per the attached image.
