Hello, my friends. Peppermint 11 refuses to make the connection with my Bluetooth headphones. Blueman sees my phones, but does not complete the connection.
My rig is a HP Elitebook 820, I triple boot with Windows 10 and Linux Mint 21. On both of these OS's, Bluetooth works just fine.
Thanks in advance and be blessed!
Steve

I also have had an issue with the Debian PeppermintOS and bluetooth after an initial install. When ever I have an issue with bluetooth, I always refer to a thread written back in 2016 by PCNetSpec. It has worked for me with other tested distros also. The attachment is a screenshot of the original thread of the steps needed to get it working. This is the text part copied to a text editor
Okay, go to
menu > Preferences > Bluetooth Manager
highlight your device, and click the "Remove" (-) button.
Close the Bluetooth Manager
Open a terminal and run:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-module-bluetooth
Log off/on (or reboot) <-- this is IMPORTANT
Once rebooted, fire up the Bluetooth Manager again, and click the "Search" button.
Right-click the discovered device and select "Trust"
Right-click the device again and select "Setup"
Leave "Pair Device" selected and click "Next"
On the next screen set "Connect to: Headset" .. and click "Next" .. hopefully it will display "Device added and connected successfully".
Click "Close".
Back in the Bluetooth Manager again, right click your headset device again and select "Audio Profile > High Fidelity Playback (A2DP Sink)"
You can now close the Bluetooth Manager.
Normal left-click the volume icon on the panel (by the clock) and select "Audio Mixer"
On the "Output Devices" tab you should now see your headset.
Okay, now to use the headset instead of the speakers .. fire up a tune in say VLC
In the audio mixer "Playback" tab you'll see "VLC" .. with a drop mmenu where you can select internal audio or your headset.
I am using a cinnamon desktop and some "unstable" packages with the original Feb 2022 PEP release ISO but I found bluetooth connection success by adding the package " libspa-0.2-bluetooth " using synaptic package manager.
This package is needed by pulseaudio to work with pipewire. Perhaps it should get included on the ISO with the rest of the bluetooth stack?
Previously, the bluetooth device would show up but would fail upon connection. I am using bluetooth version 5.66-1 and added libspa-0.2-bluetooth 0.3.63-1.
