For the past couple of weeks, my printer, an HP Deskjet 2529, has been very difficult to connect with scanner and more recently, would not print correctly. I finally got tired of throwing paper away and switched over to Ubuntu 24.04. No problems there. Debian and HPLIP are going to have to get together and fix their problems. I've been using Peppermint since 2015 and loved it but recently not so much. I'm not so sure switching to Debian base was an improvement. I think a lot of the "new" problems have come in with updates as I was going along just fine at the beginning of last year.

Hi PepOS, on the printer side there are no errors, just bad behavior. When trying to print a document, it will print the first 2" of the page then eject the page and do it again four or five times. I found that I could print the document from within libreoffice draw. On the scanner side, once opening document scanner, the program cannot locate a device, no printer connectivity error pops up. If I unplug the printer with document scanner still open and replug it, the printer will be connected and I might be able to scan one or two documents before it loses it's connectivity. As I mentioned, this is all new, maybe occurring within the last couple of months. Also, if I open HPLIP and try to reinstall the printer, HPLIP does not recognize the printer as being available to usb connectivity despite the printer being listed in lsusb. This is while the printer no connectivity error is present.

Sorry to hear about that. Are there any errors you can post I would like to take a closer look at them to see if I can dig into bugs possibly
