Today a new iso was announced
PepMini-dev-amd64-2024-02-25.iso
I tried it out - with this result:
--- All goes well till the end of"Select and install software"
Then I get the message that it failed
Re-doing the last cycle does not help
Carry on ( which is an option ) results in bootloader not installed
I tried this on My Acer-desktop (( where I had installed a few dozen isos in the last few weeks ( all Cinnamon )
So, it's not my hardware
I also installed with the original Devuan installer which installed Cinnamon on the same desktop - OK
Just a personal note: When you get the window where you have to choose between xfce - Mate - Cinnamon - etc -etc..all is " blanc "
How does the ordinary user know what to choose
Devuan environment - yes or no
Peppermint Desktop yes or no
Or maybe both ?
Utilies - yes or no
People who have experience will probably " guess " right
New-comers don't
What-ever, I am extremely happy that this release came out, as I tried the other 0ne several times, including the right firmare ready, but..no-no-no

Same gardware, same partition -- Installed properly
Also created a proper login menu where all my other installs were visible and accessible
One note. < Running update grub > took over 5 minutes, but ended well.
