Well, seems like I missed the obvious right in front of me, i.e. I was using the SuperLeft key instead of the SuperRight key.
I have found the SuperRight key has the very default settings I was after when used in conjunction with the keypad to place a window on the monitor:
SuperRight + KP1 - bottom left hand quarter
SuperRight + KP2 - bottom half
SuperRight + KP3 - bottome right hand quarter
SuperRight + KP4 - left hand half
SuperRight + KP5 - n/a
SuperRight + KP6 - right hand half
SuperRight + KP7 - top left hand quarter
SuperRight + KP8 - top half
SuperRight + KP9 - top right hand quarter

Just updated to Bookworm Pepp OS after using Bullseye Pepp OS for several months.
In Bullseye Pepp OS, I was able to assign the Super key + up arrow, down arrow, left arrow, right arrow, to move an open window to occupy half the screen top, bottom, left & right, something that I find useful to do.
In the Bookworm version every time I press the Super key the Whisker menu appears, irrespective if I press Super + any other key simultaneously.
I have been unable to remove or modify the entry: Keyborad > Application Shortcuts >xfce-popup-whiskermenu - Super L (nor any other default entry that uses the Super key), so have not been able to assign the Super key to tile windows as I did previously in Bullseye Pepp OS.

try modifying the shortcut instead of deleting it, something like super+z for example.
