    Hi,

    i have two users:
    usera (uid 1000)
    userb (uid 1002)

    If i first login with usera, then 'Switch User' and login with userb, I cant then switch sessions using Ctrl+Alt+F7 and Ctrl+Alt+F8.

    But, if I first login with userb, and then 'Switch User' , login with usera, then I lose the session of userb. Ctrl+Alt+F8 just shows black screen, every process from userb was stopped.

    I find no related settings about this.

    Why?

    Here my OS info:

    $ cat /etc/os-release
    PRETTY_NAME="PeppermintOS"
    NAME="Peppermint"
    ID=peppermint
    VERSION_CODENAME="bookworm"

    $ uname -a
    Linux makina 6.1.0-18-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.76-1 (2024-02-01) x86_64 GNU/Linux

    Thanks!

    Hi Donato,

    Sorry for the delay.

    Ive spent this morning trying to replicate your keyboard commands to switch between both my accounts. After initial failures, I was eventually given a black screen with padlock image and text message saying please wait for system redirect, unlocks itself.

    Then I was able to switch between my accounts.

    To achieve this I had to logout of cavy then choose cavypmos from the login screen to login to this account. Then using your keyboard commands while in cavypmos this became F7 and had to use F8 to switch back to cavy.

    Then wait until the black screen to appear with padlock image and redirect message for cavypmos, before I could switch back to cavy.

    This open browser with edits survived once I had established the connection between both accounts. It has been as simple or straightforward as you suggested, Plus I've popped my cherry using this method.
