Hi
I am sorry to have posted my question inaccurate !
Let me start again :-)
In the WIKI, second from the top, you have a tutorial of how to make a LiveUSB. https://sourceforge.net/p/peppermintos/pepwiki/Burn%20iso%20to%20USB%20Stick/
Question; will this work in PeppermintOS -Devuan-64 ( coming out this week ) ?
Thanks

Thanks !
The reason I asked is that it is easier to make the LiveUSB first and use it to install on 4 ( or more ) laptops than do 4 ( or more ) separate installs.
Well, I shall try and let you know, either good or bad.

Great tutorial and it worked for me. However, I'm missing a step here. It is naming the flag on the usb stick after it has been formatted. in Gparted. Boot for bios, boot and esp for uefi. Obvious for seasoned linux users, but not for newbies. Do not use Unetbootin for this purpose, it won't work. (long story short, lol)

Thank you :)
Once the iso has been written to the USB of your choice. When booting the USB in your computer it will recognise if the system is configured for Legacy or UEFI, also notify if incompatible.
The partition manager within the Calamares installer, is not needed if the user is performing the all in-bracing Erase and install, again the system recognises between Legacy or UEFI.
A manual install, yes it important that the user ticksthe BOOT FLAG relevant to their system, be it Legacy, UEFI or UEFI with SecureBoot. Along with the MOUNT POINT ie the/ (root) for the partition where the OS stores is necessary file system. Or the /home partition where your personal data is kept.
Will present " burn iso to usb " work in PepDevuan64
I just want to make sure, before...... :-")
Thanks
