Is there any reason why the disk can't be made a 1680kb superimage? That would give those with big palms 280kb of space without having to change anything but the disk image's format.
1680's work reliably in Windows 9x and NT, and in Linux. I don't know about DOS.
Since the extra space would be just that, space, we could just make a 1680 image available in addition to the standard one.
